EXA Handlebars

The rare Cinelli EXA hexagon shaped handlebars whose idea came from the hexagon shape of a windsurfing boom according to "Cinelli, The Art and Design of the Bicycle"; this bar was a favorite of Claudio Chiappucci.

The special plugs to match are even harder to find.

Cinelli Golden Black Handelbar, Stem, Water Bottle Holder, Saddle

Spotted on ebay with these comments: "Incredible Cinelli Golden Black handlebar stem combo with 18 karat gold accents, down to even the binder bolt. I am unsure of what is solid vs. gold plated. Beautifully textured leather wrapped and stitched handlebar. Bars and stem were mounted on a Golden Black show bike."

We have photos of such a "Golden Black" (1987) Cinelli here.

Vecel & Co. Ltd 1952 Cinelli Advertisement

Thanks to Bob who writes, "Whilst trying to identify my newly aquired early 1950’s frame, I was sent this ad (click on image to enlarge) which was placed in the November 21 1952 edition of British magazine ‘Motor Cycle and Cycle Trader”. The frame in the ad appears to have Simplex drop outs and braze-ons for derailleurs and rear brake cable. It seems to have a semi-sloping fork crown with points on the outside. I hope this will be of interest to your readers."
