The Mystery of the "CX" Solved?

We have had three "CX" bikes appear here that readers thought might be a Cinelli because of the use of Cinelli frame building components; the photos are here. Cinelli has said that they did not make these frames.

I received a note from reader Gordon saying that, "I send you some pics of a NOS Basso CX frame I purchased some years ago in Italy. It was unused, the fork uncut and it had the original paintwork; the dealer also offered me another one in a different size also NOS."
