Eric Heiden Cinelli Laser

This Cinelli Laser, now located at US Bicycling Hall of Fame in Davis, California, was ridden by Eric Heiden (possibly at the 1986 Tour de France).

I invite you to contribute by sending in photographs of your Cinelli bike, illustrations, personal stories, and articles about Cinelli bikes and components.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Eric did not use the Lazer in the Tour de'France (repainted or otherwise) The team did not even use TT bikes during that Tour.
Eric used his (7-11) team issued "Murray" [built by Serotta...athough some members had sourced rebadged frames(also, as "Murray") from other builders] .

  2. I went see this bike in person 2 years ago. The curator told me that when the museum acquired it, the directors asked Heiden if he'd autograph his old machine. His reply was "I think that disc wheel deserves the biggest autograph I've ever signed."
